Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia has launched the updated 2026 Ora Good Cat and the Good Cat GT, as scheduled following last month's announcement.

Pricing for the fully imported (CBU) units from Thailand is:

- Ora Good Cat Ultra - MYR 109,800 (US$ 26,200)
- Ora Good Cat GT - MYR 119,800

The latest pricing is up to MYR 34,000 lower than before. In March 2024, the electric hatchback received a MYR 26,000 reduction across the range, with the 500 Ultra priced at MYR 143,800, already lower than the initial launch price of MYR 169,800.

A MYR 3,000 early-bird rebate applies to registrations completed before December 31st, 2025, bringing prices to MYR 106,800 for the Ultra and MYR 116,800 for the GT during the promotional period.

The 2026 Ora Good Cat Ultra offered in Malaysia is not the facelift version revealed in China in June, but the variant with minor updates introduced when the model moved to CKD local assembly in Thailand in January 2024. There are no exterior changes, apart from a new So Blue body colour with a black roof.

Equipment includes 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with 215/50 tyres, LED headlamps and tail lamps, adjustable side mirrors, automatic wipers, and a panoramic sunroof.

Interior updates include a revised centre console replacing the rotary gear selector with a column-mounted selector stalk and adding a Qi wireless charging tray. Other features include a seven-inch multi-information display, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, leatherette upholstery, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a six-speaker audio system, and support for the My GWM mobile application.

The Ultra retains a single electric motor producing 143 PS and 210 Nm, driving the front wheels with a 150 km/h top speed. The previous 47.79 kWh LFP and 63.14 kWh NMC battery options have been replaced by a single 57.7 kWh LFP unit manufactured in Thailand by subsidiary Svolt, providing 480 km of NEDC range.

DC charging from 0-80% takes around 54 minutes at up to 60 kW, while 30-80% requires about 38 minutes. AC charging at 6.6 kW takes around nine hours.

The Good Cat GT, first unveiled in 2021, has now entered the Malaysian market. It features a GT body kit comprising a front bumper, side skirts, a rear valance, and a larger tailgate spoiler finished in gloss black, along with faux carbon-fibre body cladding, wheel-arch extensions, 18-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels, and yellow accents on exterior components.

The GT has a black interior with yellow contrast elements, suede leather bucket seats with integrated headrests, and an electric hands-free tailgate.

It uses a single-motor powertrain with output increased to 171 PS (126 kW) and 250 Nm, which is 28 PS (21 kW) and 40 Nm more than the Ultra. The top speed remains 150 km/h. The same 57.7 kWh LFP battery provides a WLTP-rated 380 km range (460 km NEDC), with identical charging times to the Ultra.

Both models include a Level 2 ADAS suite with autonomous emergency braking (AEB), adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, lane change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, a transparent chassis function, and a 360-degree camera system.

The Ultra is available in Hazel Wood Beige with a brown roof, Pistachio Green, and So Blue with a black roof. The So Blue option includes gloss black 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels and yellow brake calipers. Interior themes are green/rice for Pistachio Green, brown/rice for Hazel Wood Beige, and green/grey for So Blue.

The Good Cat GT is offered in Aqua Grey and Sun Black, both with a black/yellow interior. Both models include a six-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty and an eight-year/180,000 km battery warranty.
