Leapmotor's B10 has rolled off the production line at its Myanmar SKD plant, indicating an expansion in the ASEAN market under its "global car, locally built" strategy.

The following day, the company held a handover ceremony in Yangon for the first batch.

Leapmotor signed a KD agreement with Myanmar-based NPK MOTOR in November 2024. The partners brought two SKD models to market within 16 months, leading to the local rollout and delivery of the B10.

This development follows the start of C10 production at the Gurun plant in Malaysia in August 2025 and reflects continued expansion of Leapmotor's manufacturing presence in Southeast Asia. The automaker has a significant share of Myanmar's new energy vehicle market, with early adopters including business figures and industry participants.

Reported owners include the general manager of a Yangon shopping mall and shareholders of local firms.

The B10 is the first global model in Leapmotor's B-series and has been developed for the climates and road conditions of Southeast Asia and other regions.

It incorporates chassis tuning and is designed to operate in high-temperature conditions, addressing a range of usage requirements.

Global expansion increased after Leapmotor formed a joint venture with Stellantis in 2024. By February 2026, Leapmotor International had entered 40 markets, including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and South America. The company operates more than 900 overseas stores.
