JMC JMH EV nears local launch after LTO approval

The commercial vehicle division of JMC is preparing for the official launch of the JMH EV in the Philippines.
This development follows the release of homologation documents by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) for the light commercial vehicle.
According to the published documentation, the light-duty closed van is powered by an electric drivetrain intended for logistics operations.
Powertrain
Based on LTO data, the JMC JMH EV produces approximately 122 PS, with a top speed of 90 km/h and an estimated driving range of 300 km on a single charge.
The vehicle is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery, which can be charged in approximately 45 minutes using a DC fast charger or around nine hours with an AC charger. The adoption of electric commercial vehicles may reduce reliance on conventional fuels amid rising fuel prices linked to global supply conditions.
Dimensions and capacity
The JMH EV measures 5,595 mm in length, 2,270 mm in width, and 2,500 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 3,100 mm, a ground clearance of 180 mm, and an overhang of 1,380 mm. The vehicle is fitted with 16-inch wheels and 195/75-series tyres.
The kerb weight is listed at 1,970 kg, with a gross vehicle weight of 3,510 kg and a payload capacity of 1,540 kg. It is configured to seat two occupants.
DOE certification
The vehicle has received approval from the Department of Energy (DOE), which regulates electric vehicles in the country.
DOE data indicates some variations, listing the vehicle's height at 2,635 mm and the gross vehicle weight at 3,800 kg. It also specifies a battery capacity of 63.80 kWh.
The documentation references JMC's global model, known as the JMC Carrying EV, which uses a TZ190XY113 permanent magnet synchronous motor producing up to 240 Nm of torque. The company's local website includes a dedicated page for the JMH EV; however, detailed specifications and pricing have not yet been announced.
