Autocar India, 24 Sep '24
Yamaha India has launched an updated version of the RayZR Street Rally, adding new features and a refreshed appearance.
It is priced at Rs. 98,130 (US$ 1,200), the latest model costs about Rs. 2,000 more than its predecessor.
One of the key updates is the addition of a new LED daytime running light (DRL) positioned above the number plate holder. Another notable feature is the 'Answer Back' function, which helps riders locate their scooter in crowded areas by flashing the indicators and emitting a beeping sound.
This feature can be accessed through the Y-Connect app on a smartphone. Additionally, the RayZR 125 Fi now offers a new color option called Cyber Green.
Mechanically, the scooter remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by an air-cooled, 125cc single-cylinder engine that produces 8.3 PS at 6,500 rpm and 10.3 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm, with hybrid power assist.
The suspension setup includes a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear, while braking is managed by a front disc brake and a rear drum brake with unified braking system (UBS). The Yamaha RayZR competes with other 125cc scooters such as the TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Dio 125, and Suzuki Avenis 125 in the Indian market.
