Toyota introduces new Camry variant
Kabar Oto, 8 Oct '25
Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) has launched the Camry 2.5 V in Indonesia, incorporating updates to the interior and exterior design and additional features.
The ninth-generation Camry was initially introduced in Indonesia in February, with only the 2.5 HEV variant available at launch.
Marketing Director of Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Jap Ernando Demily, stated that the updates to the Camry 2.5 V provide driving quality comparable to the hybrid variant and designate it as the flagship model.
The Camry 2.5 V features a hammerhead design at the front, extended front and rear overhangs, and a larger bumper with trapezoidal air inlets.
LED headlights and taillights are included, and the rear bumper and lower diffuser are designed to optimise airflow.
On the inside it uses a driver-centric cockpit layout. The dashboard incorporates a 12.3-inch Full TFT Combination Meter and a Head-Up Display (HUD) showing speed and the status of Toyota Safety Sense (TSS).
The steering wheel includes paddle shifters. The centre console has a redesigned layout with a wireless charger, driving modes, electric parking brake, storage compartments, and cup holders. A panoramic roof replaces the previous sunroof.
Rear passenger comfort is supported by a suspension upgrade from a double wishbone to a multi-link configuration, which is adaptable to road conditions.
The Camry 2.5 V is powered by the New TNGA Engine Performance with the A25A-FKS engine, producing 204 PS at 6,600 rpm and 248 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The 8-speed automatic transmission provides three driving modes: Eco, Sport, and Normal. The Camry 2.5 V is priced at IDR 820,400,000 (US$ 49,220) for the Non-Premium colour and IDR 823,500,000 for the Premium colour.
Both prices are on-the-road (OTR) in Jakarta.
