Jetour to launch new T1 Lightning i-DM PHEV variant
Auto Industria, 8 Oct '25
The Philippines is scheduled to receive a new plug-in hybrid vehicle as Jetour Auto prepares to introduce the T1 Lightning i-DM PHEV to the local market.
After confirming its arrival during the "ber" (September, October, November, and December) months of 2025, receiving regulatory approval, and being recognised as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) by the Department of Energy (DOE) earlier in 2025, Jetour Auto Philippines is preparing to launch the vehicle.
The T1 Lightning i-DM PHEV has been officially confirmed by Jetour Auto Philippines Inc. (JAPI) and is expected to debut shortly. This follows a series of teaser photos posted by JAPI on social media showing the plug-in hybrid crossover SUV.
Although the model is not explicitly named in the teasers, the photos depict the T1 Lightning i-DM in a photoshoot and off-roading scenario.
The photographs were shared with the caption, "Redefining what ONE can do," referencing the vehicle's T1 designation. As the photos appear to have been taken locally, it is possible that the first batch of T1 Lightning PHEVs has already arrived in the country.
Official specifications have not yet been released. Based on the DOE listing from earlier this year, the T1 Lightning for the Philippines is expected to measure 4,705 mm in length, 1,967 mm in width, and 1,843 mm in height.
It is likely to feature a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 142 PS and 290 Nm of torque, paired with an electric motor delivering 204 PS and 310 Nm.
The vehicle is anticipated to be equipped with a 26.7 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery pack, providing an electric range of up to 117 km based on the WLTC cycle. The combined range is reported to be up to 1,000 km.
With JAPI sharing teasers throughout October, the T1 Lightning i-DM may be unveiled later this month.
