Suzuki launches all-new e-Vitara

Suzuki Motor Thailand has announced the pricing of the all-new e-Vitara, marking the brand's first fully electric SUV in the Thai market.
The model, which is fully imported from India, is priced at THB 2,890,000 (US$ 89,835) and is positioned to support the company's presence in the electric vehicle segment in Thailand.
Announced on April 23rd, 2026 in Bangkok, the launch follows the model's debut at the Bangkok International Motor Show. Tadaomi Suzuki, President of Suzuki Motor Thailand, stated that the introduction reflects the company's plan to expand its product line-up in response to demand for electric mobility.
The e-Vitara is positioned within the compact electric SUV segment and measures 4,275 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,636 mm in height, with a 2,700 mm wheelbase. In comparison, the Honda e:N1 measures 4,390 mm x 1,790 mm x 1,560 mm, with a 2,610 mm wheelbase. The model also features 180 mm ground clearance, a minimum turning radius of 5.2 metres, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Powertrain and performance
The e-Vitara is offered in multiple configurations:
- Standard 2WD: Single electric motor producing 144 PS and 189 Nm, paired with a 49 kWh lithium-ion LFP battery and front-wheel drive
- Long Range 2WD: Single electric motor producing 173 PS and 189 Nm, paired with a 61 kWh battery and front-wheel drive
- Long Range 4WD: Dual-motor setup with 173 PS (front) and 65 PS (rear), delivering a combined 184 PS and 300 Nm, powered by a 61 kWh battery with four-wheel drive
The vehicle supports DC fast charging of over 150 kW, enabling a 15% to 70% charge in approximately 30 minutes. The maximum driving range is stated at approximately 500 km (NEDC), with up to 455 km under local conditions.
Charging capabilities include AC charging up to 7 kW (Type 2) and DC fast charging up to 70 kW, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in around 45 minutes. Additional features include an illuminated charging port and an "Immediate charging switch".
Drivetrain and driving systems
The e-Vitara incorporates Suzuki's Allgrip-e four-wheel-drive system, which distributes torque between the front and rear wheels to support traction and stability. Driving modes include Auto, Trail and Pedal mode, supported by a shift-by-wire system. Additional features include hill descent control, an electric parking brake and an automatic brake hold function.
Suzuki operates 80 showrooms across Thailand where the model is available.
Market positioning
According to Tadaomi Suzuki, the introduction of the e-Vitara forms part of the company's expansion of its EV portfolio in line with market demand. The model is positioned to offer electric mobility in line with broader industry trends towards lower-emission technologies.
