The Jaecoo J5 EV has been officially launched in Indonesia in two variants: Standard and Premium.

It is offered at a starting price of IDR 249.9 million (US$ 14,990), which remains unchanged for the more than 5,000 customers who have already placed orders. The announcement was made at the GJAW 2025 event held on November 21st.

The distinction between the Standard and Premium variants lies in their pricing and specifications. The Standard variant is priced at IDR 249.9 million, while the Premium variant is priced at IDR 299.9 million.

Both prices apply to the first 1,000 customers. The Standard variant does not include a panoramic sunroof, uses different seat leather material, and offers fewer advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) features.

The J5 EV reflects "The Real SUV" concept, combining classic characteristics with modern and robust design elements. Sharp lines extend from the front panel to the rear body.

Its dimensions measure 4,380 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,650 mm in height. A ground clearance of 200 mm, along with approach angles of 20 degrees and departure angles of 29.8 degrees, enables the SUV to handle various road conditions.

The front grille incorporates active grille shutter (AGS) technology, which automatically adjusts airflow to enhance aerodynamic efficiency and extend driving range. Thin horizontal LED headlights contribute to a modern appearance while maintaining a classic SUV identity.

The rear section features horizontal LED lights extending across both sides, creating a wide and stable visual effect. A 1.45 metre square panoramic roof is fitted on top and offers up to 99% UV protection.

The J5 EV is powered by an electric motor delivering 211 PS and 288 Nm of torque.

Its 60.9 kWh battery is stated to provide a range of 461 km on a single charge (NEDC). The 130 kW fast-charging capability enables charging from 30% to 80% in 28 minutes.
