As part of its product expansion plans, Zeekr is preparing to introduce the facelifted X in Malaysia during the second quarter of 2026, with the updated electric hatchback forming one of three models scheduled for launch during the year.
The company stated that, although the premium compact SUV segment currently represents a relatively small share in Malaysia, it expects growth in this category. It also noted that the introduction of the Zeekr 7X has contributed to increased awareness of the Zeekr X among consumers.
The company further confirmed that the updated version of the Zeekr X forms part of its product plans. It added that the revised model is intended to expand its presence in the compact premium SUV segment, with a focus on everyday usability and driving performance.
In Thailand, the updated Zeekr X has already been introduced, featuring equipment previously available only on the China-market version, even prior to the facelift. These include powered front doors and buttons located on the B- and C-pillars for door operation, replacing conventional flush door handles.
Within the cabin, the steering wheel incorporates touch-sensitive controls beneath the airbag hub, while the front seats are equipped with a massage function. However, the Thailand-specification model does not appear to include the sliding 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen offered in Europe, nor the zero-gravity front passenger seat. Aside from these changes, the exterior and interior design remain largely unchanged.
In terms of powertrains, the base Standard rear-wheel-drive (RWD) variant now produces 340 PS (335 hp or 250 kW) and 373 Nm of torque, compared to 272 PS (268 hp or 200 kW) and 343 Nm in the pre-facelift model. The battery has also been revised, with a 61 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) unit replacing the previous 66 kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery. As a result, the WLTP-certified range is reduced to 405 km from the earlier 440 km.
The dual-motor Flagship all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant now generates 496 PS (489 hp or 365 kW) and 573 Nm of torque, compared to 428 PS (422 hp or 315 kW) and 543 Nm previously. This version continues to use the 66 kWh NMC battery, although the range has declined to 415 km from 420 km. AC charging capability is rated at up to 11 kW for the Standard RWD variant and 22 kW for the Flagship AWD variant. In terms of DC fast charging, the Standard RWD variant supports up to 230 kW, while the Flagship AWD variant supports up to 150 kW.
