On September 20th, the Deepal L07 mid-size sedan was officially launched with six trims, priced between CNY 151,900 and 173,900 (US$ 21,530 and 24,650).
It is available in both EV and EREV variants. The design of the Deepal L07 continues that of the Deepal SL03 and features Huawei's Qiankun ADS SE. Deepal claims that the L07 is more suitable for family users, while the SL03 is more sporty.
The exterior of the Deepal L07 includes sharp headlights, frameless doors, hidden door handles, an electric rear wing, 19-inch three-spoke rims, and a 1.9 m panoramic sunroof. Its official drag coefficient is 0.215Cd.
The dimensions of the Deepal L07 are 4,875 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. Aside from a 55 mm increase in body length, the other dimensions are consistent with those of the Deepal SL03.
The onboard Huawei Qiankun ADS SE intelligent driving assistance system employs a visual solution through various sensors, including 3 mm wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 10 cameras. This system supports lane change assist, obstacle avoidance, and automatic emergency braking for highway navigation, as well as parking assistance, among other features. Notably, there is no roof lidar on the vehicle.
Inside, the cockpit is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and features a 15.6-inch 2.5K central control screen, a 55-inch AR-HUD, a D-shaped steering wheel, and 50 W mobile phone wireless fast charging. The operating system is based on Deepal OS.
The air-conditioning outlets adopt a horizontal hidden design, with ambient lighting for added detail. A rear touchscreen and air-conditioning vents are also present.
The interior houses 22 speakers for an enhanced audio experience.
The EV variant is powered by a 185 kW (248 PS) rear electric motor, producing 310 Nm of torque, and is equipped with a 56.12 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering a CLTC range of 530 km.
The EREV variant uses a 1.5-litre engine as a range extender, with a maximum power of 72 kW (97 PS). It is paired with either a 160 kW (215 PS) / 320 Nm or a 190 kW (255 PS) / 320 Nm electric motor. Two lithium iron phosphate battery pack capacities are available: 28.39 kWh and 35.07 kWh, corresponding to a CLTC pure electric range of 230 km and 300 km, respectively, and a comprehensive CLTC range of 1330 km and 1400 km.
The entire series is equipped with 3C fast charging and a V2L external discharge function as standard. Under fast charging conditions, it takes just 15 minutes to replenish the battery from 30% to 80%.
