Aprilia is set to unveil the Philippine-spec RS 457 in August, 2024.
Per Motosiclista Scatola Incorporation (MSI), the sport bike's official launch - which will be open to the public - is on August 5th at Festival Supermall in Alabang, Muntinlupa.
Based on the Aprilia Philippines' website, the RS 457 is fitted with distinct livery that strongly contributes to its aggressive racing elements such as the front double fairing and two-in-one exhaust.
The forthcoming offering is to be offered in three colourways namely - prismatic dark, racing stripes, opalescent light.
Its front cowling features full LED headlight that boasts the brand's latest signature lighting style. In front of the Aprilia 457's steering plate-mounted half handlebars (with backlighted controls) are the five-inch TFT colour digital cluster.
Powering the vehicle is a liquid-cooled twin-cylinder 457 cc engine with dual camshaft timing that has the capacity to deliver a maximum of nearly 49 PS and almost 44 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch technology.
It sits on 17-inch aluminium alloy rims and stability on the road is guaranteed by the dual beam aluminium frame as well as the upside-down fork and monoshock suspensions for the front and rear. Assuring strong stops for the Aprilia RS 457 are the disc brakes.
It has an 800-millimeter seat height, a 13-litre fuel tank capacity, and an overall wet weight of 175 kilograms.
Further, the Aprilia RS 457 comes with a ride-by-wire system that combines with three riding modes that regulate power output, torque and traction control and quickshift electronic gear change (available as a factory option).
The pricing, MSI shared, starts at PHP 348,000 (US$ 5,900).
