Toyota Motor Philippines has unveiled the 2026 Vios Ativ, introducing its latest B-segment sedan in the Philippine market.
Following media test drives and the announcement of variants and pricing earlier in October, Toyota Motor Philippines has officially released the specifications and features of the 2026 Vios Ativ.
The Vios Ativ, available in both hybrid and non-hybrid versions, represents the latest generation of Toyota's B-segment sedan.
It complements the existing Vios range, now limited to fleet sales, and serves as the most affordable hybrid model in Toyota's Philippine line-up.
The 2026 Vios Ativ features an electrified powertrain, consisting of a 1.5-litre hybrid four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack. The system delivers a combined output of 111 PS, with power directed to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Non-hybrid variants are equipped with naturally aspirated 1.5-litre or 1.3-litre inline-four engines. The 1.5-litre engine is exclusively paired with a CVT, while the 1.3-litre option can be coupled with either a CVT or a five-speed manual transmission.
The exterior design has been revised to align with Toyota's current styling direction. The front incorporates LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights, a larger grille, and a longer bonnet. A fastback-inspired profile, redesigned alloy wheels, and LED taillights define the updated appearance.
In terms of dimensions, the Vios Ativ measures 4,425 mm in length, 1,740 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height, with a 2,620 mm wheelbase and 160 mm of ground clearance.
On the inside it includes a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system available in sizes of up to 10.1 inches. The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Upholstery options include fabric or leather, depending on the variant.
Additional equipment includes a wireless charging pad, push-button start, keyless smart entry, an electronic parking brake, and a panoramic view monitor.
The Vios Ativ is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense (TSS), which includes a pre-collision system, automatic high beams, lane-tracing assist, lane departure alert, and adaptive cruise control. All variants also include anti-lock braking with brake assist, vehicle stability control, blind-spot monitoring, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and multiple airbags.
According to Elijah Sue Marcial, First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations at Toyota Motor Philippines, the Vios Ativ is part of the company's strategy to expand access to electrified mobility in the Philippines.
Sales of the Vios Ativ will commence in October 2025 through authorised dealerships nationwide. The model will also be presented during its public launch event from October 24th to 26th, 2025, at the BGC Amphitheatre in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
