Pre-orders for the Nissan Qashqai have reportedly opened through dealerships as the compact SUV begins its nationwide showroom tour in Taiwan, with sales representatives citing an estimated price range of NTD 1.25 million to NTD 1.35 million (US$ 39,700-42,900) ahead of its scheduled market launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Yulon Nissan has identified the Qashqai as the first of 13 new models planned for introduction over the next three years, following its local debut at the 2026 Taipei Auto Show. According to posts shared in the "Qashqai e-Power Taiwan Club" Facebook group, official pricing and final specifications have not yet been announced during the showroom roadshow.
However, sales representatives have reportedly stated that the Qashqai will be offered in a single trim level, with an estimated price of between NTD 1.25 million and NTD 1.35 million. Customers can place pre-orders with a deposit of NTD 30,000 to secure their position in the order queue.
The company has confirmed that dealerships are currently accepting reservations for the Qashqai, although the final production specifications remain subject to confirmation. The imported Qashqai measures 4,425 mm in length, 1,835 mm in width and 1,625 mm in height, positioning it as a compact SUV between the Kicks and X-Trail in the brand's model range.
Its cabin design closely resembles that of the X-Trail. While local equipment specifications have not yet been released, overseas versions indicate that dual 12.3-inch displays, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charging and the ProPILOT+ driver-assistance system are likely to be included.
Powering the Qashqai is the third-generation e-Power hybrid system, which succeeds the second-generation system currently used in the X-Trail e-Power.
The powertrain combines a 1.5-litre VC-Turbo three-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack. The company states that the latest e-Power system provides fuel efficiency, emissions and noise characteristics that differ from those of the previous-generation system. Total output is rated at 193 PS, while average fuel consumption is claimed to be 22.2 km/litre.
