Moto Guzzi launches Stelvio in Indonesia

Piaggio Indonesia (PID) has officially launched the Moto Guzzi Stelvio in Indonesia, priced at IDR 850 million (US$ 51,000).
At first glance, this model bears similarities to the street fighter version, the V100 Mandello.
The name "Stelvio" is derived from the highest mountain road in Italy, renowned as the most legendary route for two-wheeled vehicles, with 48 sharp bends.
However, upon closer inspection, the Stelvio's design is more aligned with adventure, featuring a dual-purpose tyre set.
Additionally, the bike is equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) radar safety feature, known as the Piaggio Fast Forward (PFF) Rider Assistance Solution. This system, developed by robotics experts from Boston, United States, and founded in 2015 by the Piaggio Group, uses 4D Imaging radar.
The sensors, located above and below the headlights, provide wider coverage and are considered more reliable than traditional ultrasonic sensors. The front of the motorcycle features LED lighting, while the design includes a protector intended to divert hot air away from the rider's legs.
The engine of the Moto Guzzi Stelvio is a 90-degree transverse V-twin with a capacity of 1,042 cc, known as the "Compact Block." This configuration provides a compact and lightweight design, minimising vibrations during highway riding.
The engine delivers a maximum power of 116 PS at 8,700 rpm and a maximum torque of 105 Nm at 6,750 rpm.
In terms of control and engine performance, the Stelvio is similar to its sibling, the Moto Guzzi V100 Avizionale Mandello.
However, the Stelvio includes additional features such as embedded radar, an off-road appearance with spoke rims, hand guards, engine guards, and multi-purpose tyres.
To optimise the Euro 5+ emission standards, the bike is designed for use with RON 95 fuel, contributing to more efficient emissions.
Standard features include a full LED lighting system with Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and a 'bend light' system. This system includes an additional headlight mounted on the windscreen to illuminate the inside of bends, enhancing visibility while riding.
Other features include a USB port located next to the indicator screen and a windshield that can be adjusted to the rider's preference.
