Stellantis Malaysia has updated its Leapmotor local assembly programme, with the B10 EV now locally-assembled at Stellantis Gurun, Kedah, alongside the C10 battery electric vehicle (BEV).

Both models are now available at dealerships nationwide. The B10 was scheduled to join the assembly line before the end of 2026 when the programme was first announced in June, while C10 production had already begun at the time. The C-segment B10 has also been reduced from two variants, Life and Design, to a single Design variant priced at MYR 118,800 (US$ 29,375).

The local assembly programme forms part of Stellantis' plans to expand localised manufacturing and EV production in Malaysia, the company said in a press release.

Following Stellantis' acquisition of the Gurun plant from Naza in 2021, Stellantis global has invested EUR 5.3 million (US$ 6.2 million), equivalent to MYR 25 million, in developing localised production capabilities. This includes production-line and infrastructure upgrades to support manufacturing at the facility.

Leapmotor B10 specifications and features

The locally assembled Leapmotor B10 is built on the LEAP3.5 architecture and is equipped with a 67.1 kWh battery, providing a quoted driving range of up to 434 km under the WLTP cycle.

The move to CKD assembly has also introduced an optional physical remote key fob for the B10 and C10, with existing customers also having access to the update.

Priced at MYR 118,800, the locally-assembled B10 is covered by an eight-year or 160,000 km battery warranty, whichever comes first, as well as a four-year or 100,000 km manufacturer warranty followed by an additional two-year/50,000 km full extended warranty. The current B10 line-up differs from the version reported in June, when the model was offered in Life and Design variants. The Life was priced at MYR 107,800, while the Design was priced at MYR 118,800.

Leapmotor C10 moves to local assembly

The Leapmotor C10 is also now locally-assembled at Stellantis Gurun and retails at MYR 125,000. It uses a 69.9 kWh battery and a single motor producing 218 PS and 320 Nm of torque, with a quoted driving range of up to 424 km under the WLTP cycle.

Like the B10, the locally-assembled C10 is covered by an eight-year or 160,000 km battery warranty, whichever comes first, along with a four-year or 100,000 km manufacturer warranty and an additional two-year/50,000 km full extended warranty.

The current C10 specification differs from the version detailed in the June report, which also covered the C10 Plus and Night Edition variants. The latest update covers the locally-assembled C10 priced at MYR 125,000.
