Jaecoo targets to have 30 dealers by end of 2025

A new Chinese automotive manufacturer in the Indonesian market, Jaecoo has revealed its strategy in expanding the dealer networks in Indonesia. Jaecoo Indonesia Country Director, Max Zhou said that so far the company has 20 dealers spread across various strategic areas. By the end of 2025, Jaecoo targets to have 30 dealers in Indonesia.
"Now we have 20 dealers in various areas such as SCBD, BSD, Pluit, Puri Indah, Sunter, Kelapa Gading and also PIK 2," Max said.
Meanwhile, Jaecoo dealers have been spread across several other major cities, namely in Palembang, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Makassar and there is also one that will be built in Manado.
"Now we are planning to have 30 dealers in Indonesia. So we will build 10 more dealers by the end of 2025. Currently, we are still considering local distributors," he explained.
According to Max, his party is considering local distributors because they are considered to have quite good sales potential in Indonesia. Jaecoo's various dealer partners include Gema Santika Pura, Arta Motor Group, Sun Motor Group, Mitra Auto Sinergi, and Maju Motor Group.
In addition, Jaecoo also revealed plans to build a car assembly plant in 2026. The reason is, so far Jaecoo is still relying on production at the factory owned by Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM) located in Purwakarta, West Java.
"We hope to complete the investment process by the end of this year, so that we can hopefully start building this factory in 2026," he said.
According to him, the construction of the factory will take about one or two years, so the factory will start operating at the latest in 2028.
"I hope we can have a new factory in 2027 and 2028. Because we also promise to follow the government's direction to meet TKDN [domestic content level]," explained Max.
However, he could not yet confirm where the Jaecoo factory would be built, but what is clear is that the location will still be on Java Island.
For information, Jaecoo has released the Jaecoo J7 hybrid SUV model that adopts the super hybrid system (SHS). SHS technology combines super HEV and EV technology, providing optimal fuel efficiency even in hybrid mode.
Jaecoo J7 is claimed to be able to travel up to 1,372 kilometres, with fuel consumption of only 4.4 litres per 100 km in charge - sustaining mode, and a electric range that is 20% longer than competitors. In addition, at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, Jaecoo has also launched a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) model, namely Jaecoo J5.
