Chinese automotive manufacturer BYD has inaugurated four new dealers for its premium sub-brand, Denza, in Indonesia on March 10th.
President director of BYD Motor Indonesia, Eagle Zhao, said that the premium Denza brand, which was launched in early 2025, has been well received by consumers in Indonesia. ''The opening of these four Denza dealers is an extraordinary milestone in BYD Group's journey in Indonesia's dynamic EV market,'' said Eagle Zhao in Jakarta on March 10th.
There are four Denza dealer network partners in total, namely Harmony Auto, Haka Auto, Arista, and Bipo. These four distributors are also BYD Indonesia dealer partners. The Denza dealer locations are as follows: Denza Pluit Haka, Denza Harmony Kelapa Gading, Denza Arista BSD City, and Denza Denpasar Bipo. All Denza dealers provide 3S services, which include Sales, Service (after-sales support), and Spare Parts.
Head of Marketing, PR & Government at BYD Indonesia, Luther Panjaitan, added that the company is still reviewing plans to expand Denza dealerships to other cities, as Denza is targeting the premium market segment.
''We have opened in Jakarta, and also in Bali. We do not rule out the possibility of expanding to other cities in Java and beyond. We are specifically targeting provincial capitals for the Denza brand,'' said Luther.
He further noted that, like other premium brands, the number of dealerships may not be as extensive as regular APM networks. However, Denza aims to establish dealerships in several strategic locations.
BYD officially launched its premium sub-brand, Denza, on 22nd January 2025. The first model introduced was the electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) Denza D9, priced at IDR 950 million (US$ 57,950).
