David Pieris Automobiles, the four-wheeler sales arm of the David Pieris Group, has launched the all-new BAIC X3e electric SUV at the Auto Vision Motor Show 2026, held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo.

David Pieris Automobiles is the official distributor of BAIC vehicles in Sri Lanks.

Developed around the campaign theme, "The EV That Makes Life Easy", the X3e is designed to simplify the transition to electric mobility by combining modern technology with everyday practicality.

The X3e offers low running costs, a practical driving range, DC fast-charging capability, a family-oriented interior, advanced safety and driver assistance technologies, and after-sales support from David Pieris Automobiles.

The electric SUV features SUV-inspired styling, a digital cockpit with connectivity functions, Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), an electric powertrain, an automatic parking system, and a range of active and passive safety features.

The X3e is available in two variants at introductory prices. The X3e Pro is priced at LKR 11.5 million (US$ 34,200), while the X3e Max is priced at LKR 12.0 million.

David Pieris Automobiles has established a dedicated after-sales support network for BAIC customers, offering genuine spare parts, scheduled maintenance, repairs and technical assistance. A dedicated brand workshop operates at Hyde Park Corner in Colombo, supported by an islandwide dealer and service network.

The company showroom is located on Pannipitiya Road in Battaramulla, with additional branches in Kurunegala, Matara, Ratnapura and Kandy.
