TAILG breaks ground on new electric two-wheeler plant in Vietnam

TAILG Vietnam Science and Technology has broken ground on a new plant in Vietnam as the company expands its manufacturing operations in the country.
On August 22nd, 2026, TAILG officially broke ground on the plant at Lot CN18, D2 Street, Yen My II Industrial Park, Hung Yen Province.
Founded in 2003 in Shenzhen, China, TAILG is an electric vehicle group involved in research and development (R&D), manufacturing, distribution, charging solutions and battery swapping. According to information released by the company, TAILG currently operates more than 10 production facilities in China, Vietnam and Indonesia, with total annual production capacity exceeding 15 million vehicles and a market network spanning more than 90 countries.
In Vietnam, TAILG began developing its plant in August 2024. The TAILG Vietnam facility covers 40,000 square metres and has an annual production capacity of more than 350,000 electric two-wheelers. It also includes R&D, technology development, smart manufacturing, sales and after-sales services.
In a related development, on August 10th, TAILG Vietnam and Vietnam Green Energy Group JSC (VNG) signed a cooperation agreement to develop an electric two-wheeler ecosystem linked to the Vina BSS public battery-swapping network.
Under the agreement, the two companies will focus on two areas. First, TAILG's electric two-wheeler models will be connected to the Vina BSS public battery-swapping network. Second, the companies will cooperate exclusively in developing electric two-wheelers for delivery, logistics, express delivery, freight transport, passenger transport and ride-hailing services.
Yen My II Industrial Park covers a total area of 313.5 hectares, with total investment of around VND 3.6 trillion (US$ 137 million). Phase 1 covers 97.5 hectares, with investment of nearly VND 900 billion, while Phase 2, the expanded Yen My II Industrial Park, covers 216 hectares, with investment of nearly VND 2.7 trillion. Hoa Phat Hung Yen Industrial Park Infrastructure Development, a subsidiary of Hoa Phat Group, is the project's developer.
The industrial park is adjacent to National Highway 39, around 2-3km from the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway interchange, 5-6km from National Highway 5A and around 30km from central Hanoi. The site provides connections to Noi Bai International Airport, the Hai Phong-Quang Ninh seaport system and major industrial centres across northern Vietnam.
