Omoda & Jaecoo Thailand has introduced the new Jaecoo 5 EV Ultra in Thailand under the "More Choice. Same Smart Value." positioning, expanding its electric SUV line-up with a higher-capacity battery, longer driving range, additional comfort features and advanced safety technology.
The model builds on the 5 EV and is designed for both urban commuting and longer-distance travel. The 5 EV Ultra is locally assembled in Thailand and follows international manufacturing quality standards. The company has positioned the new variant for buyers seeking a 100% electric SUV with an extended driving range, premium amenities and additional safety technologies.
It is priced at a promotional launch price of THB 669,000 (US$ 20,160), reduced from the estimated retail price of THB 789,000. The offer applies to bookings made by August 30th, 2026.
Omoda & Jaecoo Thailand said the new model follows the strong market response to the 5 EV, which the company says won the No. 1 User Choice EV award and was Thailand's No. 1 registered electric vehicle between January and July 2026.
Upgraded electric powertrain
The 5 EV Ultra is equipped with an upgraded 60.93 kWh battery pack, providing a maximum driving range of up to 480 km on a full charge under the NEDC standard.
Power comes from a single front-mounted electric motor driving the front wheels. The motor produces 155 kW and 288 Nm of torque, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of approximately 175 km/h.
Charging support includes DC fast charging at up to 130 kW and AC charging at up to 6.6 kW.
Launch warranty and ownership benefits
Customers who reserve the 5 EV Ultra by August 30th, 2026, will receive a Lifetime Warranty package covering key electric powertrain components, including the battery, electric motor and motor control unit.
The launch package also includes a 10-year unlimited-mileage engine warranty and an eight-year or 200,000 km new vehicle warranty.
Other complimentary benefits include a home charger with installation, an AC portable charger, one year of Tier 1 insurance with compulsory insurance, one year of T-Box App subscription, Jaecoo floor mats and five years of 24-hour roadside assistance.
The 5 EV Ultra therefore expands the 5 EV range in Thailand with a larger battery, a claimed 480 km NEDC driving range, additional equipment and revised specifications, while retaining the model's focus on electric mobility and locally assembled production.
