McLaren GT supercar recalled

McLaren Australia has recalled 15 examples of the 2019-2023 McLaren GT supercar, due to a potential fault that could cause the bonnet to fly up while driving.
The affected vehicles are stamped 2019 to 2023 models, but may have been sold at a later date.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: "The manual release cable of the bonnet latch may have excessive tension which potentially may cause the latch to open.
"If this occurs, the bonnet could open unexpectedly whilst the vehicle is in motion, obstructing the driver's view.
"Obstruction of the driver's view may increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users."
McLaren Australia has been contacted to confirm if there have been any local occurrences of the fault.
The car maker advises that "owners of affected vehicles should contact their preferred authorised McLaren dealer to make an appointment to replace the bonnet latch, free of charge."
