Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM Pro may introduce lower-cost PHEV trim
Top Gear Philippines, 9 Jul '26
Earlier this year, Jetour introduced the Executive variant of the T1 Lightning i-DM, adding another option to its plug-in hybrid SUV range.
Homologation documents filed with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) indicate that the Chinese automaker may introduce an additional trim level called the Pro.
Based on the filing, the Pro variant appears to share the same core specifications as the existing models. It is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 142 PS, paired with a 204 PS electric motor. The dimensions also remain unchanged at 4,705 mm in length, 1,967 mm in width and 1,843 mm in height, with 160 mm of ground clearance.
As the key specifications are identical to those of the current variants, any differences are likely to be related to equipment levels.
While the LTO filing does not disclose feature details, reports suggest that the Pro variant may be positioned below the Executive trim with a reduced equipment list. The T1 Lightning i-DM is currently offered with a range of features, and the removal of selected items could enable Jetour to introduce a lower-priced variant within the line-up.
Potential omissions may include features such as a sunroof, leather upholstery, power seat adjustment and a power tailgate, which are often offered on higher-specification variants.
At the time of writing, the Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM Executive is priced at PHP 1,898,000 (US$ 30,795). The Pro variant is expected to be positioned below it and could introduce a lower entry price for the plug-in hybrid SUV range.
Jetour has not yet disclosed pricing or specification details for the proposed Pro variant.
