Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) has begun the Phase II expansion of its spare parts warehouse at Doddaballapura near Bengaluru, Karnataka, involving an investment of Rs. 4.5 billion (US$ 46.9 million).

The expansion will increase Honda's spare parts distribution capacity for its cars, two-wheelers and power products businesses in India. The Phase II project covers approximately 80,000 square metres and will increase the overall footprint of the Doddaballapura facility to 140,000 square metres. The project is being developed by Uno Minda Infra LLP.

Managed by Honda Cars India, the Doddaballapura facility handles the spare parts operations of Honda Cars India, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), and Honda India Power Products. The Phase II expansion is intended to increase storage and distribution capacity, improve operational efficiency and enable faster availability of genuine spare parts across Honda's network.

The investment is also expected to support the expansion of Honda's businesses in India and contribute to local economic development through the creation of new employment opportunities in Karnataka.

The Doddaballapura facility is located within North Bengaluru's industrial and logistics corridor, with access to major highways, rail connectivity and the international airport. It forms part of Honda's spare parts supply chain in India.

Phase I of the facility, spread across 60,000 square metres, became operational in June 2025. It established a spare parts distribution hub in Doddaballapura and expanded Honda's service parts network.

Phase II will add capacity, infrastructure and warehousing systems to the existing facility to support Honda's future business requirements. Once completed, the overall 140,000-square-metre facility will include advanced warehousing systems, energy-efficient solutions and scalable infrastructure.

The expanded facility will cater to Honda's four-wheeler, two-wheeler and power products businesses in India, providing increased storage and distribution capacity and supporting the availability of genuine spare parts across the company's network.
