Grab, Southeast Asia's leading superapp, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Charge+, a prominent electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions provider, to promote EV adoption and sustainable mobility in Cambodia.

Under this partnership, Grab's EV driver-partners will receive exclusive discounts on charging rates at Charge+ stations, thereby reducing operational costs and enhancing the appeal of EV ownership.

The MoU represents a notable advancement in the development of Cambodia's EV ecosystem and aligns with national objectives to encourage clean transportation and lower carbon emissions. In accordance with the agreement, Charge+ will incorporate Grab's driver ecosystem into its charging network to provide seamless access to affordable and efficient charging services.

By offering discounted charging rates, we aim to ease the financial burden on EV driver-partners while contributing to Cambodia's wider sustainability goals. Charge+ operates a growing network of EV charging stations across Cambodia, Singapore, and other parts of Southeast Asia. Its technology-driven solutions support app-based payments, removing the need for QR codes or physical payment systems at charging locations. Integration with Grab's platform is expected to further enhance the user experience for EV driver-partners, simplifying and reducing the cost of transitioning to electric mobility.

Beyond discounted charging rates, the collaboration will explore additional measures to support EV adoption, including potential financing options and public awareness campaigns aimed at educating driver-partners about the advantages of electric mobility.

As EV adoption continues to expand in Cambodia, the availability of a widespread and accessible charging infrastructure becomes increasingly important. The partnership between Grab and Charge+ seeks to address this need by increasing the number of charging stations in major urban areas. This will include designated charging locations specifically for Grab driver-partners, ensuring both availability and convenience.

The collaboration reflects both organisations' shared commitment to sustainability, innovation, and economic development. By facilitating the transition to electric vehicles, Grab and Charge+ are contributing to the advancement of a cleaner and more efficient transportation system in Cambodia.
