Ducati launches Panigale V4 S
Kabar Oto, 12 Feb '25
Ducati Indonesia has officially launched the Panigale V4 S, a high-performance motorcycle featuring updated design, technology, ergonomics, and significant aerodynamic and electronic enhancements, developed with expertise from Ducati Corse.
The latest technological innovations are claimed to enable riders whether amateurs or professionals to shave a full second off their lap times at the Cremona Circuit in San Marino, Italy. With its cutting-edge features, the Ducati Panigale V4 S is priced at IDR 1 billion (US$ 61,000) off the road.
Jimmy Budhijanto, CEO of Ducati Indonesia, confirmed that the Ducati Panigale V4 S is a limited-edition model with a restricted global allocation from Ducati's headquarters.
''All the orders we have received so far are for the S variant. Three customers placed their orders a long time ago, and we have now secured their allocations. For this year, we have confirmed 20 units with the factory,'' Jimmy stated in Jakarta on 8th February 2025.
Despite the limited allocation, Jimmy emphasised Indonesia's significance as a market for Ducati. He assured that domestic demand would be met as far as possible.
''Ducati sees Indonesia as an important market within the Asia-Pacific region. However, our market size is still behind Malaysia's, largely because motorcycles cannot enter toll roads here,'' he explained. ''Ducati wants to support us, but currently, we rank around third or fourth from the bottom in the Asia-Pacific region. Australia leads the market, even ahead of Malaysia,'' he added.
The Panigale V4 continues to evolve in line with Ducati's MotoGP advancements, with the Desmosedici serving as the benchmark in its category.
The new Panigale V4 S is now 2 kg lighter, weighing 187 kg, and has gained an extra 0.5 PS, despite complying with stricter Euro 5+ emissions standards. The superbike is still powered by a 1,103 cc engine, delivering 219 PS and approximately 124 Nm of torque.
