On October 20, Changan officially launched the Deepal S05 in China, offering both EV and EREV variants, with deliveries starting immediately.

The Deepal S05 follows the brand's "interstellar flying wing" design and offers five exterior colour options. It measures 4,620 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, 1,600 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,880 mm.

Notable features include:

-Deepal 4K Intelligent Gimbal Camera: 64 GB storage capable of holding approximately 21,000 photos or 12 hours of video.
-Intelligent Headlight: A 1.3-million-pixel headlight that, with Huawei xPixel technology, can project a 120-inch screen.
-Advanced driving assistance: Standard across the range, featuring five high-definition cameras, five millimetre-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars, providing functions such as adaptive cruise control, lane centring, and intelligent parking assist.
-Safety: High-strength steel-aluminium body and six airbags.

EREV variant:
The range-extended version is equipped with a 1.5-litre range extender generating 72 kW (97 PS), paired with a 160 kW (215 PS) rear electric motor and a 27.28 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The pure electric range is 200 km (CLTC), with a comprehensive range of 1,234 km, a top speed of 175 km/h, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.9 seconds. Fast charging replenishes the battery from 30% to 80% in 20 minutes.

EV variant:
Powered by a 175 kW (235 PS) rear electric motor and a 56.12 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, the EV version offers a range of 510 km (CLTC), a top speed of 180 km/h, and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes just 15 minutes.
